Speaker: Jamie Ibrahim, Deputy Director Southern Arizona Legal Aid

Topic: Big Rule change for Magistrates: Changing  the reports and recommendations to mirror Child Support Hearing Officer procedure  

Jamie Ibrahim is the Deputy Director at Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Inc. (SALA) She is an experienced litigator whose career now focuses on the management of SALA’s 60+ staff and $5M annual budget. Ms. Ibrahim began her 16-year career in public interest at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid where she assisted hundreds of clients in family law, housing, and consumer issues.  Thereafter, she was appointed as a General Magistrate for the Fourth Judicial Circuit where she handled an average of 1,000 family law hearings per year.  She was a recipient of the 2011 Family Law Section of the Florida Bar Making a Difference Award and was named a 2020 Leader in the Law by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Ms. Ibrahim graduated from the University of North Florida and Florida Coastal School of Law.  She has been admitted to practice law in Florida and Arizona.

(1) hour credit, NALA approved, will be given for virtual meeting.   Certificate of attendance will be distributed upon receipt of payment by NEFPA, and after having remained in attendance for the required minimum 50 minutes.
