Professional & Leadership Development Scholarships

NEFPA promotes the highest levels of professionalism through its monthly meetings (formal and informal) at which speakers on topics of legal interest are featured guests, through NEFPA officers speaking at area legal institute classes, and through our promotion of the NALA certification programs (CLA/CP) and Advanced Paralegal Certification (formerly CLA Specialty). Our CLA Review Course is available to assist members and nonmembers in the quest to become certified.
 
NEFPA PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

NEFPA offers its Active and Student members substantial assistance in reaching the highest level of professionalism through its Professional Development Scholarship. Members planning to take the NALA certification examination are eligible to apply for the NEFPA Professional Development Scholarship. The Scholarship program is available to provide financial assistance for attaining certification as a Certified Paralegal/Certified Legal Assistant (CP/CLA) or, if already a CP/CLA, for attaining the Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP) designation.

NEFPA LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
As a NALA Affiliate, our Association encourages its members to take an active role in their professional growth and development.  NEFPA is offering a Leadership Development Program (“Program”) opportunity that will provide financial assistance to an active NEFPA member to attend NALA’s Annual Convention.  The objective of the Program is to promote a newfound professional responsibility to oneself and to the paralegal community, while cultivating future NEFPA leaders.
